4.2 Mindset for Success: Embrace & Learn from Failure

“An essential aspect of creativity is not being afraid to fail.” ~Edwin Land

“Failure is a great teacher, and I think when you make mistakes and you recover from them and you treat them as valuable learning experiences, then you’ve got something to share.” ~Steve Harvey

Mindset for Success

Whether you are planning to show your students digital media (e.g., a YouTube video), incorporate a digital media tool into your lesson plan, or ask your students to design digital media, there is always a chance that something might go wrong the first time (especially with technology!). That is why our theme this week is “Embrace & Learn from Failure.” We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and take a risk, try something new, and see what happens. Even if things don’t go exactly as planned, we guarantee that you will learn from the experience.
