Welcome to Week 2! This week we will work together to explore, understand, and apply basic multimedia design principles. We will discuss the way people learn, and how we, as teachers and designers, can create materials that support student engagement and learning. Topics covered include Cognitive Load Theory, Mayer’s Multimedia Learning Principles, Chunking, Keller’s ARCS Model of Motivational Design and the “Made to Stick Principles.”
Thank you for all of your work and contributions thus far; we look forward to another week of learning, collaborating, and sharing.
